Snowed in at Grandma’s house so we crocheted new hats for the winter season. This is the spiral hat we did in class in single crochet. It is included in the E-book too. It works up fast with less than a skein of yarn. I crocheted a black chenille hat for myself to go with my winter gear.

This black yarn is a little more challenging than white. What I really like about this particular pattern is how easy it is to adapt to different sizes. The two hats used the same hook and yarn. However, some increase rounds are added to increase the diameter. Additionally, work even rounds are added to increase the length.
I enjoyed the variations in class using different hook sizes and yarns and colors. This a great beginning hat to learn to make size and design adjustments. This hat would be a great project for gifts or charity.
