I enjoy making baby hats to give for Christmas gifts, partly because I love children and babies. The patterns for these two hats can be found in the Learn to Crochet Guide section under free downloads. I’m so excited for this young model to have these hats (both are in Crochet Class with Victoria E-book and course). I added a tassel in red for a Christmas hat (left) that I thought looked like a little bow, however everyone at the Christmas gathering started calling it the “chicken” hat. I’m going to be a good sport and enjoy the personality and different interpretations that crochet can bring to a hat.
Hats are a great project because they take very little yarn and time to complete. They are very easy to personalize for a gift too (think team colors, or critters). They also keep little ears warm in the cold weather we get where I live.
