My crochet friends enjoy learning to do a classic “granny square.” It is easy to adjust the size – make one large square or join several smaller squares. Use color to add an individualistic touch to the granny square project. There’s an instructional video for both right and left hand crocheters. Share your best granny square projects so we can see what you can do!
I’m so excited that Crochet Class will once again be offered by Des Moines Adult and Continuing Education beginning in January 2025! The class length was extended to six sessions to cover all of the beginning course material (learn all of the stitches, techniques and reading patterns) along with advanced material such as granny squares, circles, motifs and more! Check back to the website for more details and a registration link at http://www.crochetclasswithvictoriacarrington.com and share with friends who might be interested.. I look forward to working with you. See what you can do!
Check out my YouTube Channel for video instructions!
Have you subscribed to my YouTube Channel??
I even have a scannable QR code for my YouTube channel! If you prefer the old-fashioned way to get there, my channel is V Carrington (and a separate one at Victoria Carrington). The benefit to subscribing is that you will be able to view all of the instructional crochet videos (and even a few random videos) and there is no charge for the subscription.
Almost 99% of my videos are crochet instruction and I include videos for left-handed demonstrations.
My students said they were able to learn a lot from YouTube Videos and because of that (and weather cancellations and Covid) I have learned to embrace this style of instruction. It allows me to show stitches and techniques up close (without taking up your air) and customize for left-handers.
If you would like the PDF pattern for the wrap above (or any of the projects on video) just send me an email.
If you subscribe to my website, I’m always here to help and answer questions related to crochet. You’ll get all the new designs, blogs, videos and techniques at no charge.
I’m trying very hard to curtail my passion for fashion “collecting” — my kids call it hoarding — but I am seeing some steal-worthy designs ideas in online fashion catalogs this season that have me thinking hmmm. My focus has been online courses for crochet: https://learn-to-crochet-with-victoria-carrington.teachable.com/.
I try to encourage students to apply their own design aesthetics to their work as we go over techniques. I’m amazed and thrilled at what they are able to do.
You’ll catch me showing off the work of my students on the regular – almost like a virtual crochet gallery, a dream come true for me! You’ll also catch me showing off my children (above) and grandchildren (and other relatives and friends) modeling those fashions. All the things I love in one photo.
I love to see what you are working on, so share your photos (and yes, sneak in your grandchildren or your dog)!!!
